Rosina Busse grew up in the fair city of Chicago, and discovered improv when she moved to Portland in 2007. She has performed on the ComedySportz Farm Team, done longform improvisation and stand-up at Curious Comedy, and been in several productions at Slocum House Theater in Vancouver. A book editor by day, she is an Oregon State Master Gardener who can tell you how to avoid blossom-end blight in tomatoes.

Elizabeth Harrington is a nomadic mind who finds shelter from the deluge of reality on the familiar metamorphosis of the stage. She has been a votaress of the order of ComedySportz since 2010, and prior experience has seen her as occasional amateur playwright, directress, and actress, but always as devoted disciple of all things fanciful.

Jill Headen’s first foray into improvisational comedy was at Manhattanville College in New York where she took an “Improvisation and Theater Games” class. After completing her degree in Computer Science, she moved back to Dallas, Texas and joined ComedySportz in October 2004, performing with them until they closed in 2008. She continued playing ComedySportz as a Free Agent in cities such as Manchester, England; San Antonio, TX; Chicago, IL; Milwaukee, WI; New York City; San Jose, CA; and Portland, OR. Jill also performed with the Motley Players Three, a local Dallas troupe, from 2006 through 2010. Jill moved to Vancouver in 2010 and the only reason she'll give us is "Manifest Destiny."

Christopher Huizar is a performer and stand-up comedian at ComedySportz Portland, Slocum House Theatre, and other local venues.

Anders Liljeholm has performed with the Portland theatre companies Broadway Rose, Miracle Theatre, Mock's Crest, Portland Actor's Ensemble, Lakewood, and Classic Greek Theatre. He has played such illustrious parts as Carpenter, Soldier, Tutor, Slave, Policeman, Peasant, and the Mother of Roberto Zucco. Anders has been improvising with ComedySportz in Portland since 2008 and loves every minute of it.

Tom Magee has been performing with ComedySportz since 1993 and received his initial CSz training with ComedySportz LA. He began his love of the stage when an unusual thing happened one day upon arriving at his work study job with the drama department at George Fox University. The professor said, "Rather than build sets today, how about if you audition for this romantic comedy?" Tom was cast and the rest, as they say, is history. And so is Sideburns, so it's kind of kismet don't you think?

John Mechalas unintentionally entered the world of comedy in the 3rd grade when he decided he didn't need to comb his hair before going to school. Since then he has refined both his comedic skills and his personal hygiene. He has been a member of ComedySportz Portland since 2006, was an ensemble member of CHIMP, and is the technical director for The BEE Word.

Jamie Montgomery was born and raised in the south side Chicago where he found that being funny helped get him out of some sticky situations. He moved to Vancouver, WA to get away from the big city and settle down. Jamie saw his first ComedySportz show and knew that it was for him, and he's been an ensemble member with Portland since 1998. In his spare time, and when he's motivated, Jamie likes to write.

Karen Polis earned a Bachelor's degree in theatre from Willamette University and has also studied at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts. She has been an ensemble member of ComedySportz Portland since 2006 and was a cast member of the first run of Portland's Neutrino Project. When not on stage Karen can be found hanging out with her dog Riley.

Sideburns is the brainchild of Donna Kay Yarborough who hails from Lake Jackson, TX. The first of two only-children, she hopes to one day grow up to be.

Live music is provided by keyboardist Paul Herman, who long ago decided that the "best seat in the house" was the piano bench. He loves watching Sideburns shows from there and occasionally gets inspired to play along, but mostly he loves hanging out with all the funny, creative people.

Sideburns is directed by Katy Liljeholm. While this is her first time directing an improv show, she has been directing theatre (some might say, compulsively so) since her debut in the UK. Some of her favourite gigs include "The Reluctant Dragon" at Tears of Joy Theatre, "Taming of the Shrew" with Portland Actors Ensemble, and "Moon Over Buffalo" for New Century Players.  In addition to directing, Katy is also a puppeteer, touring two years for Tears of Joy Theatre. She's also taught puppeteering, playwriting, and performance classes for preschool-5th grade.  She's the Artistic Director of the Well Arts Institute, a non-profit that brings creative writing workshops to people facing life altering health illnesses. Each workshop results in professional theatre performances of the stories for Portland at large.

The Sideburns cast is coached by Starr Ahrens. We would also like to thank Alan McNeely for his artistic direction and guidance.
